Using Zemplee

For Alexa Calling and Zemplee Messaging to work, each Member must have at least one accurate family phone number stored in Zemplee. Caregivers often assist with collecting and updating this information.
From the family member, collect:
- Member’s full name
- Family member’s full name
- Relationship (e.g., daughter, son, niece, friend)
- Mobile phone number (including country code)
- Email Address (optional)
Confirmation that they have:
- The Alexa App installed
- Signed in with their Amazon account
- Their phone number saved under Zemplee Notifications
Add A New Contact for the Family Member in Zemplee
- Go to Contacts in Zemplee
- Click Add New Contact
- Enter in the information
- Save the new Family Contact
- Go to the Member's Profile
- Go to the Care Team section.
- Next to Relationship area, select the relationship of the new Family Contact, either Family or Agency.
- From the dropdown on the right, select the name of the Family Contact.
- Click Assign Contact

Request that Zemplee Support adds the Contact to Alexa Communication

Email Zemplee Support at support@zemplee.com
- E.g. “Requesting to adds a Contact to Alexa Communication”
- Include a few details of Family Member added (Organization, Family Contact First Name, Last Name, Phone Number)
- Wait for Zemplee support to update Alexa with family member’s information and activate Zemplee-Alexa Communication. This can take up to 24 hours.

Add or Update Contact Phone Number for the Family Member in Zemplee
- Go to Settings → Contacts in Zemplee
- Find the Contact profile you wish to update.
- Update the information.
- Click Update.

Request that Zemplee Support update the Contact information for Alexa Communication

Email Zemplee Support at support@zemplee.com
- E.g. “Requesting to update a Contact for Alexa Communication”
- Include a few details of Family Contact updated (Organization, Family Contact First Name, Last Name, what field was updated)
- Wait for Zemplee support to update Alexa with family member’s information and activate Zemplee-Alexa Communication. This can take up to 24 hours.
