This month’s update focuses on making Zemplee feel simpler, more personal, and more helpful in everyday life- for care teams and members both! We’ve added a gentle new Alexa experience for Members, made Out of Home alerts clearer over time, improved in-app setup messages, and more.
🌟 New Features
Cue Weather on Alexa devices
Members may see a brief morning weather summary and helpful daily tip on the Alexa screen, designed to be informative without interrupting their routine.
🚨 Alert Improvements
Smarter Out of Home alerts
- Auto-Resolution: Out of Home alerts now automatically resolve when motion is detected again in the home, helping reduce unnecessary follow-ups.
- Improved alert escalation for extended absences: Alerts progress from blue to yellow to red when a member remains out of the home for longer periods, following the same timing rules as No Motion alerts.
More reliable alert resolution by text
When alerts are resolved via text, all related alerts are now closed together for a clearer and more complete resolution.
✨ Usability Enhancements
Clearer Wi-Fi setup feedback
Users now receive confirmation when Wi-Fi configuration requests succeed or fail in the Alexa Kit, including clear messaging when a device is offline.
Simpler Wi-Fi configuration experience
Wi-Fi settings now use consistent terminology, and password entry includes a show/hide option to reduce setup errors.
Visibility into family engagement (Admin only)
Organization Admins can now see when Family Contacts last logged in from the Contacts List page, helping assess onboarding and engagement.
Improved tracking for member deactivation
Member deactivation actions now require a reason, which is displayed in the System Dashboard to provide clearer context and accountability.
