Which rooms does Zemplee track for visit counts?
Zemplee calculates visit counts for two rooms only: the Bathroom and the Kitchen.
How does Zemplee count a room visit?
Any motion detected in the same room within a 15-minute window is grouped together and counted as one visit. This grouping prevents multiple motion events — whether from repeated entry/exit or from movement while the person remains in the room — from inflating the visit count.
Why is a 15-minute window used?
The window prevents inflated counts caused by brief re-entries and by repeated movement (for example, shifting, moving around, or pacing) that occurs while the person is still in the room.
Example
If someone goes into the Bathroom (or Kitchen) three times or generates several motion events while staying in the room between 1:00 PM and 1:15 PM, Zemplee counts this as one visit.
One-sentence summary: Zemplee groups all motion in the Bathroom or Kitchen within a 15-minute window as a single visit — this covers both multiple entries/exits and multiple movements while the person stays in the room.
