Continuous Chair Data: What You Need to Know
If you notice continuous blocks of paint appearing in chair data, this is a known behavior that may occur under certain conditions. While uncommon, it can happen when the system detects prolonged pressure on the chair mat.
Why Does This Happen?
Chair mats may display continuous data when:
✔️ A heavy object is placed on them (e.g., book, heavy blanket, pet, or couch cushion).
✔️ The mat gets wedged in the crease of a couch or seat.
✔️ The mat loses connection with its transmitter box.
✔️ The mat is folded, creased, or bunched up.
What Should I Do?
In most cases, this behavior resolves naturally as the patient continues using the chair mat. However, if you’d like to reset the mat to prevent continuous data, try the following:
🔹 Ensure the mat is lying flat and readjust if it is wedged in any way.
🔹 Remove any objects resting on the mat.
🔹 Check for folds, creases, or bunching and smooth them out.
💡 Note: If your patient is receiving No Motion alerts, this actually indicates that the Zemplee system is functioning correctly.
Data not present on the DAP
Data not present on the DAP → sensor name not in behavior chart, graph not showing up for vitals
Device not present on the DAP:
- check that the device is added to the account
If a door is left open it's not painting on the dap
For vitals devices:
User -level issues
bedmat → could be unplugged, not in range of hub, not positioned under the client while they're sleeping
bp/temp → reading wasn't done correctly, not in range of hub
Second level issues:
reach out to zemplee support to see if the device is linked to zemplee or not
