What is the Care Team? 

The Care Team is the main difference between Zemplee and other platforms. We integrate all aspects of a member's circle of care, from health aides and staff to physicians to family. Care Team users of an organization are defined by the roles assigned to users and all Contacts regardless of role. 

If a user is added as a Physician, Provider, Nurse, Care Coordinator, Caregiver, Nurse Assistant, RPM Assistant, or a Medical Assistant- they would be a Care Team user. 

If a user is added as a Contact (generally family or friends) - they would also be a Care Team user. 

Do Administrators count as Care Team users?

No. Administrators do not fall under the Care Team. They are classified differently and have more editing privileges over Member and User settings.   

Do Contacts count as Care Team users?

 

Do I need to assign a Care Team to each member?

Yes! Assigning a Care Team is essential for ensuring the right people have access to the tools and information they need. Just as a coffee shop organizes staff for each shift, a Care Team assignment helps streamline operations by:

✔ Enabling Automated Insurance Billing – Ensures that the correct providers and offices are linked for reimbursement and documentation.

✔ Customizing Notifications – Allows providers, care coordinators, and family members to receive alerts via email or text based on their roles.

✔ Granting Access to the Zemplee Web App – Ensures that only authorized care team members can view, update, and manage a member’s information.

By assigning the right individuals to a member’s Care Team, you create a seamless experience for tracking, managing, and responding to important events.

 

FAQ

If I don't have anyone to assign to a Member's Care Team?

Yes - if you add a SSO and your customers are added into the Helpjuice users panel this would influence the pricing.
