Continuous Data/Painting: What You Need to Know
Activity Sensors
If you notice continuous blocks of paint appearing in the DAP bar chart, this is a known behavior that may occur under certain conditions. While uncommon, it can happen when the system detects prolonged occupancy on the chair mat or the mat is creased/folded.
Why Does This Happen?
Chair mats may display continuous data when:
✔️ A heavy object is placed on them (e.g., book, heavy blanket, pet, or couch cushion).
✔️ The mat gets wedged/creased on/in the craves of a couch, recliner or chair.
✔️ The mat loses connection with its transmitter box.
✔️ The mat is folded, creased, or bunched up.
What Should I Do?
In most cases, the mat will need checked to ensure it's flattened and possitined correctly. You may need to complete a “hard reset” by removing then replacing the battery in the mat's transmitter box.
🔹 Ensure the mat is lying flat and readjust if it is wedged in any way.
🔹 Remove any objects resting on the mat.
🔹 Check for folds, creases, or bunching and smooth them out.
Perform a “Hard Reset” by opening the cover of the white transmitter box, removing the cover and removing the battery, waiting 15-30 seconds and then putting the same battery back. For Adaptive Bed and Chair mat's also “zero-out” by pressing the “reset” button on the controller box AFTER the mattress or chair cushion is placed back on top of the mat/sensor.
💡 Note: If your patient is receiving No Motion alerts, this actually indicates that the Zemplee system is functioning correctly.
Issue:
