Vitals Log Overview How To Access the Vitals Log: Understanding the Vitals Log Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Vitals Log Overview

The Vitals Log provides a comprehensive record of a member’s vital readings, displayed in an easy-to-read table format.

Each entry in the log represents the most recent vital reading for that member. If multiple readings are recorded on the same day, the Vitals Log automatically displays only the latest version of each measurement. This ensures that you always see the most up-to-date information at a glance.

How To Access the Vitals Log:

Follow these steps to view a member’s Vitals Data Log (or follow along with the tutorial below):

Navigate to the Member Daily Activity Page.

Select the Vitals tab.

Click View Data Log to open the table of recorded vital readings.

Click Apply.

From here, you can review the latest vitals and compare data for the month, or view historical data for previous months.

Understanding the Vitals Log

The Vitals Log displays a member’s recorded vital readings in a structured, easy-to-read format.

Each entry represents the most recent reading for that member. If multiple readings are taken within the same day, the table automatically shows only the latest version of each vital measurement. This ensures that the information displayed is always current and accurate.

Readings captured from connected devices are marked with a pink cloud icon, while manually entered readings are indicated with a blue pen icon. Caregivers, staff, family members, or the members themselves can manually enter vital readings through Daily Notes.

Once submitted, these manually entered readings will automatically appear in the Vitals Log, alongside any device-recorded readings.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Why do I only see one reading per day in the Vitals Log?
The Vitals Log automatically displays the most recent reading for each vital sign. If multiple readings are taken on the same day, the table shows only the latest version to ensure data accuracy and clarity.

2. What does the pink cloud icon mean?
The pink cloud icon indicates that the reading was captured automatically from a connected device (for example, a smart blood pressure monitor or pulse oximeter or sleep mat).

3. What does the blue pen icon mean?
The blue pen icon represents a manually entered reading, typically added by a caregiver or staff member directly in the system.

4. Can I view historical or older readings?
Yes. To view older readings, navigate to the Date selector member’s Vitals Log section. From there, you can review previously recorded vitals, not just the most recent entries.

5. Can caregivers or family members manually add vital readings?
Yes. Caregivers, staff, family members, and members themselves can manually enter vital readings in the Daily Notes section.
Once saved, these entries are automatically reflected in the Vitals Data Log, where they are labeled with the blue pen icon to indicate that they were entered manually.
